A letter to PQE, World Gratitude Day

Hi All,

All over the world today we are celebrating the Gratitude Day, an initiative started in Hawaii 55 years ago.

In this special year I think it is very appropriate to make together a reflection on this essential aspect of what we call humanity.

While thinking about this I discovered an interesting linguistic aspect.

Unlike many other languages (i.e. Italian), we have in English 2 words for expressing the concept: thankfulness and gratitude. The Oxford Dictionary explains that the difference is the following: “being thankful is a feeling, and being grateful is an action”.

I liked very much this idea because reveals the fact that gratitude is really expressed only if our emotion becomes something practical for the good of all. yyy

Someone in the Ist century B.C. had already understood the importance of gratitude since he wrote:  “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others” (Marco Tullio Cicero).

In this strange September 2020, we have many things to be grateful for.

Our people in the countries where we are present are all alive and the few that got the virus have recovered. العاب بالانترنت We do not forget the colleagues who have lost their parents or dear ones in the pandemic and we participate deeply to their bereavement. نادي بايرن ميونيخ

From an economic point of view PQE’s ship has survived brilliantly to the storm of the last months and we are optimistic about the company global results at the end of the year. العاب تربح اموال حقيقية

In such harsh times, I would like to express my deep gratitude and sincere thanks to all of you for keeping strong during the crisis and for putting all your great energies and strengths into helping our community at PQE.

For many of us lock down time has been a time of deep reflection and rethinking: new ideas and projects have been devised such as the Infodemic initiative to fight fake news and the coming soon PQE Academy for internal talents’ development.

Overall the feeling that we have to work for is to improve the welfare inside our community, and the interest in keeping a strong commitment to social responsibility is stronger and clearer for me day by day. لعب بينجو يوريو ٢٠٢١ For this reason, I’ll put all my energy and creativity in achieving these targets.

As my personal contribution to your Gratitude Day I will end up with this sentence from one of the lay saints of XX century, Albert Schweitzer.

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has a cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”

I wish you to be lucky enough to find inside your professional environment as many of these people as I have found in PQE Group.

With my warmest regards,

Happy Gratitude Day.
