Organization Theory and Design

As the founder and CEO of PQE Group, I am always looking to educate myself and evolve my mindset in everything related to business and modern innovation. I recently finished “Organization Theory and Design” by Richard L. Draft, Jonathan Murphy, and Hugh Willmott, which was an incredibly insightful resource for marketing learners.

Acclaimed business author, Richard Daft, highlighted progressive thinking about organizations today with contemporary ideas, proven classic theories, and effective business practices. The book showed how popular enterprises remain sustainable and thrive within today’s rapidly evolving and highly competitive global environment. This information was beneficial and interesting to read as our team at PQE Group continues to grow and expand internationally with new offices, subsidiaries, mergers, and initiatives.

The book featured organizations like BP, Disney/Pixar, Volvo, Barnes & Noble, and Cisco Systems and gave examples of contemporary case studies that help bring organization concepts to life. It helps develop the necessary skills to meet the challenges of today’s business world by giving insight into current organization design problems, potential theories, solutions, and varying analyses.

I enjoyed the different perspectives, improved critical focus, and essential counterpoints that crafted well-rounded ideas. I definitely recommend this read to students and those wishing to discover more about design, style, and innovative practices.
