Recognizing World Rare Disease Day

As an organization committed to bettering our planet and communities (in more ways than one), our team at PQE Group proudly recognizes and raises awareness for World Rare Disease Day.

Every year on February 28th, we acknowledge and advocate for the 400 million people affected by rare diseases worldwide. This month was not chosen by accident but was assigned this observance because it is the rarest of months in our calendar – since it does not have 30 or 31 days.

1 out of 20 people will live with a rare disease at some point in their lifetime, which is why raising awareness for these afflictions is crucial to procure funding and research that can lead to improved treatments or a cure. Unfortunately, there is no cure for most rare diseases, and many go undiagnosed because of a lack of knowledge or understanding of symptoms.

The most significant assistance we can provide as individuals and organizations is to spread knowledge and do what we can within our sectors, especially Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals, to foster innovation.

Our team at PQE Group always puts our best foot forward when it comes to lending a helping hand to people in our communities who need it. We have adopted Gandhi’s mantra, “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” which we demonstrate through our professional and humanitarian services.

Take some time this Rare Disease Day to educate yourself and loved ones about rare diseases and shine a light on the global patients and caregivers who need our support.
